The CFA Exam is developed and administered by the CFA Institute, which offered the exam to more than 175,000 financial professionals from 165 countries for the year ended June 2008.  It has been characterized by The Economist as the "gold standard" of professional education.  The exam covers the breadth of knowledge that is invaluable for financial professionals.  Our affiliate, R. G. Quintero & Co., is a leading provider of CFA training programs in New York and Connecticut.  We have developed these links to supplement the understanding of CFA candidates of some of the key topics that are reflected in the CFA Curriculum.  We have found that by reviewing the same concept from more than one perspective, it often becomes clearer, and candidates may gain more of the intuition necessary to understand, rather than memorize, the concepts.

We encourage our students and friends to peruse these links in "bite-size" chunks—perhaps one article per day.  To facilitate this objective, we are providing additions to the links on a gradual basis, designed to follow the chronological order in which these sessions are introduced in several of our public and in-house classes.  We welcome your comments and contributions to this knowledge bank, and also request that you report any dead links.  The links are not intended to be exhaustive—just to provide some additional insight to guide you, and enhance your understanding and interest in the subject matter.

These links are organized around the four key categories of the CFA Curriculum:

  • Ethics and Professional Standards
  • Investment Tools
  • Asset Valuation
  • Portfolio Management

For your convenience we are also providing links to the CFA Level I, II, and III Study Session Outlines, including the Learning Outcome Statements for each session.

We have prepared a PowerPoint presentation providing information about the CFA program, and a lot of other useful information for CFA candidates.  Please feel free to contact us at (212) 327-0200 to inquire about our family of CFA Level I, II, and III review programs that are offered in New York and Connecticut, or visit our Website at www.rgquintero.com for further information.
